Samsung introduces us to its H-Series of HD camcorders
It’s CES week, so gadgets aplenty are on the agenda, including this latest collection of HD camcorders from Samsung – The HMX-H106, HMX-H105, HMX-H104, and HMX-H100. All camcorders are packed with full HD sensors and a Schneider Kreuznach Varioplan HD lens with Optical Image Stabilization and 10x optical zoom. So, we’re looking at a bunch of super superior cameras. But it’s the H106 that really steals the spotlight, with its 64GB SSD – a HD camcorder first.
The H105 and H104 provide 32GB and 16GB SSDs, respectively, while the H100 will only record with an SD/SDHC card wedged in. All cameras use an H.264 codec that’ll give you 12 hours of full HD video action on the H106, six on the H105 and three on the H104.
No pricing or release date details so you’ll have to simmer on the above information until then.

H106 should be a great camcorder. I like the memory size and the HD support for good video quality.
