Gmail is down
Panic not, readers! It’s not you, it’s Gmail. It’s broken, and apparently, it’s due to ‘a fault’, which is reassuring. So far on Twitter we’ve seen mass hysteria, as people realise they have no way of doing anything at all today, as they’ve accidentally stored their entire life on Google.
Should we perhaps take this as a sign of why cloud computing, and specifically having a Google-based life, can be a scary, scary prospect? Nah.

Oh no thats means my life is broken too :-(
This gmail panic is amazing! Astounding to see how many people are relying on Google for their email… me included :)
POP3 and IMAP4 access works well, iPhone users are also happy :)
Well, uh, the cloud seemingly has become quite foggy , sire.
Anyway hope Sergey & Larry´s people get the sutff up again quick – and to the rest, why don´t keep an offline copy of your digital life ?
Cheers, C
