GPS device brought in to protect and track baby Jesus
Every year outdoor nativity scenes are constructed all over the world, spreading a bit of Christmas joy to whoever gazes upon its wholesomeness. And every year trouble making miscreants think it’s a good idea to steal plastic baby Jesus, sometimes Mary and whatever else they can get their hands on before someone cottons on to their pointless thievery.
With Posh and Becks fronting the Madame Tussauds nativity scene, I really thought I’d seen it all when it comes to nativity set ups… until today, when I found out Lightening GPS will be using its range of GPS devices to protect outdoor nativity scenes. The GPS tracking devices will be leased to non-profit organisations (think churches and schools) to be placed inside plastic baby Jesuses. And should someone take off with the plastic version of Christ our saviour, he can be tracked down and returned to his rightful place.
