Gresso's avant-garde Skeleton is limited edition in every sense of the word
Gresso, those purveyors of luxury (i,e.never going to own) handsets have done it again with the sinisterly named Skeleton. I’m a little perplexed though. What’s the point of designing a luxury phone, encased in titanium alloy, “with high tech ceramic coverage”, crystal sapphire glass and stainless steel, only to make fifteen handsets for five grand a piece? Seems like a bit of a strange move, but that’s what Gresso (no strangers to the outlandish) is doing with its avant-garde Skeleton collection – an aptly named handset for something that looks ominously dark and goth-esque.
Other then not warranting a five thousand pound price tag, it sports Windows Mobile 6.0, Bluetooth, a music player, a transparent back panel and a 240 x 320 pixel display. A phone described as avant-garde is never going to fall into the affordable category, so unless affordable equals five thousand pounds, all that’s on offer is admiration I’m afraid.
