Turn your iPod Touch into a mobile phone
Truphone has made the iPod Touch one step closer to being a cheaper version of the iPhone, with the launch of its Touch VoIP app. Download this for free from the app store, and you can use your Touch to make calls when you’re in a WiFi area, for very little money indeed.
You’ll need a microphone adaptor, which you can pick up from the Apple store, and a second generation Touch. After that, as long as you’re in a WiFi area, you’re good to go. It’s no replacement for your mobile, but could help you out if you’re a International dialler.
