CES 2009: Mu-bot headphones
Back in 2006 we brought these headphones to your attention, but I can now reveal they’re going to hit the USA mass market this spring and move away from their niche resting place in Japan. They’re basically headphones attached to a white plastic body, and before you think ‘aww how cute’, they’re actually pretty frustrating to use. I took a picture of myself wearing them to illustrate just how chunky they are, and the effect is seriously unsubtle.
If you don’t mind strapping a white plastic bot to your chest, you’ll be fine, but otherwise steer clear. The headphones are nothing to write home about either, as we’re talking your basic in ear design.
