SoundClip may be small but it'll bring intense sound to your iPhone
It’s a little known fact that the iPhone’s internal speakers aren’t far off from awful, with many iPhone owners finding the maximum speaker phone volume too low for normal use. SoundClip has a solution. Thanks to geekalicious eye candy Kevin Rose (who Susi has a bit of a soft spot for) tweeting this: ‘SoundClip boosts your iphone speaker volume by 10dB, going to buy one to see how it works!’ we got wind of this important piece of iPhone info.
So, apparently this little audio enhancing device has the power to increase your iPhone’s sound by 10dB between 6kH and 20kHz, making it clearer, thanks to a little thing called a tuned conical deflection chamber. SoundClip is described as directing “sound from the iPhone toward you to increase the clarity and volume for movies and music”. The idea behind this is that the sound waves are reflected towards you, as opposed to away, bringing you closer and more involved with your phones sound.
Its unobtrusive frame also means you can play games without speaker interference from a hulking device hanging from your beloved Phone.
And when you’re not using it, just clip it onto your charge cable or another cable of your choice. Best of all, it’s only $7.95 USD here.
