Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood set to be the FPS game of the summer
If you thought Will Smith in Wild Wild West and Call of Juarez version 1 was the bees knees then the latest installment in this first person western shooter will have you weak with excitement. The game features the McCall brothers teaming up to find the legendary Gold of Juarez, and you follow their journey through the ravaged landscape of Georgia, right up to the Aztec ruins in Mexico. The production values are excellent, and switching between weapons is incredibly simple, with a multitude of options and targets to test out.
The game offers dual collaborative gameplay which lets you play with a friend to join forces against the evil West and all of the guns are upgradeable when you gain extra points. The game is a prequel to the first Call of Juarez and features the brothers battling through an undeveloped country that is experiencing civil war. You get the option of online multi player included with the game, and can work as a team with objective led missions featuring up to eight people. This style of gaming features a Bounty system which sets various prices for players depending on the amount of kills they’ve taken.
It looks like this may be THE game to watch out for this summer, and I can already see an army of parents fruitlessly trying to persuade their kids away from the TV set.
Call of Juarez is out in June and is available for the 360, PS3, and PC.
