Tunebug Shake turns your Helmet into a Surround Sound System
It’s small mobile speaker that promises to turn your bicycle helmet into a personal concert venue. The Tunebug Shake helmet by Tunebug can be fitted to any type of helmet or hard hat and works by sending sound waves through the surface of the helmet creating they describe as “an overhead listening experience”.
Tunebug also claim that their helmet speaker system is safer than simple earphones because it doesn’t block your hearing to outside sound.
Getting a surround effect with stereo headphone is impossible so this could be an interesting answer to audio on the move. Pricey though at $99 or £63.
It can be connected to iPods, MP3 players, mobile phones, or any other portable music device wirelessly using Bluetooth technology or by audio cable. It also features a rechargeable battery with about 5 hours of playtime and charges via the included USB cable.
The Shake will be available $99.99 at a variety of retailers including select Apple Stores in the States, Amazon.com and www.Tunebug.com.
