Turnstyle: Bare-bones Record Player

It seems like minimalist record players are becoming a bit of a trend. Last week we wrote about the SoundWagon, a portable Volkswagen inspired record player, and now we have come across this amazing bare-bones player called the “Turnstyle”. Inventor RD Silva identified the vital components of the player, and simply threw the rest away. As you can see, this isn’t much. A motor to turn the platter, an arm and stylus connected to the tiny amp and speakers, plus the controls.
