In this day and age of skinny jeans and skinny phones, we don’t like carrying wallets around very much. We prefer to just stuff a wad of notes in our pocket and free ourselves of the unnecessary complications of layers of leather.

Certainly, that’s what I do.

One New York designer has come with a novel solution to the holding money problem – a money clip that is made of money. It’s like a firm plastic sticker with a little crook in it that you stick to the inside of a dollar bill. Stick it on a note, bend the note over and tuck your other notes inside it.

It costs $9.99 plus of course the dollar that you have to use as the sticky one.

For us Brits – this whole money-as-wallet thing is less of a good idea because the least valuable note we have is a fiver which is a worth a lot more than a dollar. It would also annoy the hell out of me because I’d keep trying to spend it and then realise there was a sticky black thing that looked like a small maxi pad stuck to the back of it. Well, if the dollar came with the set I wouldn’t mind..

You don’t have to wear a fake mustache to use it either. I’m not sure what that video is about.. but you get the gist.
