The Original 1976 Apple logo – get this on your iPhone 4
Every so often, I come across this image and wonder at how different the world could have been. Would you buy an iPad if it had that black and white line-drawn oddity on the back of it? Apple’s very first logo turned up in the recent issue of the Creative Review magazine and once again filled me with amazement.
Designed in 1976, the design above by Ronald Wayne really was Apple computer’s first logo. But it only lasted for a year before Steve Jobs commissioned someone to design something else a little bit sharper and Rob Janoff came up with the bitten apple that we know and love.
In case you’re wondering – yes you can get iPhone (decals) of them on Zazzle and yes – it would be really funny to stick that on your iPhone. Funny to me at least. It’s 31 pounds tho…
