CES 2012: Demo of Lenovo's IdeaTab S2110 transforming tablet
We’d already been pretty ‘wow’ed by Lenovo’s two new key offerings at CES last week (go check out the super bendy IdeaPad Yoga and our new favourite desktop, the IdeaCentre A720), but the brand’s slightly more understated slim and flexible IdeaTab S2110 is still worth getting excited about.
Its part tablet, part notebook, docks with a detachable keyboard to double its battery life and runs a re-skinned version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
Shiny Shiny attended CES as part of a press trip organised by Lenovo, (but just so you know, we only write about products that we think are genuinely awesome).

Whhhyyyyyyyyy! Why do manufacturers think they need to spend so much time, money and effort skinning Android with laggy, non-standard propietary UI’s that delay updates and fragment the Android system.
Save money and sell the tablet cheaper, or improve the build quality. It’s not difficult.
Also, can you say Asus Transformer rip-off quick enough? Not that I’m complaining – competition is good.
