Sony drops Xperia M – mid range smartphone
Sony Mobile is seemingly on a bit of a roll at the moment, so it will be very interesting to get a proper look at its new mid range smartphone, – the Xperia M – which it has just announced today.
It doesn’t have the high-end facilities of say the Xperia Z, but there’s plenty on board to keep it interesting. The phone packs a FWVGA touchscreen display, comes with a five megapixel cameras and sports a 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8227 dual-core processor. It will run Google™ Android™ 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It also has a NFC chip on board which enables owners to share images quickly and easily with suitably equipped Sony Bravia TVs or music with NFC chipped headphones.
It will be available in Black, White and Purple for the dual SIM version which is tagged the Sony Xperia M dual – while a Yellow colour variation will also be available for the single SIM model.
The models are both due in August.
