Apple announces new updated iPod touch – UK launch today
Does anyone remember iPods? Those who still use Apple’s music devices, as opposed to listening to music on your phone like everyone else, will be excited to know that the company is still giving its attention to the iPod market, and has quietly released a new version of its iPod touch model.
It comes with three different storage capacities – the 32 and 64 gig models are available today and the 16 gig model will follow shortly.
The new iPod touch comes complete with the usual features. There’s a 5 megapixel iSight camera, 1080p HD video recording, 4-inch Retina display, Apple’s A5 chip and FaceTime camera. They run iOS 7, will be compatible with Autumn’s iOS 8 and come shipped with Apple’s EarPods.
Moving on from the traditional black and white, the new iPod touch is available in an array of vibrant colours – pink, yellow, blue, silver, space grey and (PRODUCT) RED. It also has a handy loop hole for the iPod wrist strap.
iPod touch is available on the UK online store and will be available worldwide in the coming days. 16GB model for £159, 32GB for £199 and 64GB for £249

I’m that lone person with an iPod Touch (mobile signal where I live/work is terrible, and there’s no monthly charges, so it seemed a win-win) so I like this news, although to be honest, I might be more impressed by the wrist strap than the specs!
