New iPhone 6 photos leaked on Weibo, but are they real?
iPhone 6 photos have popped up on Chinese social networking site Weibo, courtesy of Taiwanese former pop star and race car driver Jimmy Lin. Lin previously leaked images of the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, so there’s no reason to believe they’re not genuine.
Lin says that the iPhone 6 has a 4.7-inch display and that Apple has shifted the power key to the right, which would make it easier to turn on with one hand. The photos show a thinner-looking phone with a brushed metal finish and the antenna back inside the phone (in fact, it’s a little HTC One-looking, which in my book is only a good thing). They also show that the new phone has what seems to be the same Touch ID fingerprint reading home button as the iPhone 5S.
However, rumours that Apple is ditching the 3.5mm headphone port in favour of a Lightning connection following their purchase of Beats are unfounded. So far. Of course, we’ll find out more when the device is officially unveiled this autumn.
