One of the most talked about companies at this year’s SXSW, Jon Lou bill themselves as “a lifestyle brand for people who love fashion, love technology, and think it’s about time the two of them met for a drink”. The first product of this romantic union? A handbag that charges your phone for you.

The sleek Italian leather ‘314’ bag also features an internal light to help with the traditional doorstep key-rummage, and can charge any USB-enabled device up to 14 times before needing a new battery.

The downside: it currently comes with a hefty price tag (at $1500, you might find yourself thinking “tschuh, I’ll just buy a new phone”), but they’re currently on the lookout for influential ‘technistas’ to try it out for free.

Check out Jon Lou.
