Apple’s iPhone 6 launch set to smash records
Apple is set to smash records for the production of its upcoming iPhone 6. The company is rumoured to be manufacturing 70-80 million new iPhones, which is expected to be launched in 4.7 and 5.5 inch screen versions, as apposed to the 50-60 million iPhones they created last year.
According to Forbes Apple will be including the 4.7 and 5.5 inch iPhones in this initial batch, in spite of the fact that the 5.5 inch iPhone is rumoured to be having some issues with the new Sapphire screen. As we reported recently Foxconn and Pegatron have both recently hired thousands of new employees to cope with the production. There are also some reports that the new iPhone will come in a 128GB model.
This launch is looking like it will be Apple’s biggest yet, with early adopters of the iPhone 5 being out of contract and this phone looking like a significant bump on specs.
