Vodafone UK launches 4G handsets: the Smart 4 Turbo and Smart 4 Power
Today Vodafone has announced that it’s launching its first 4G-ready smartphones, called the Smart 4 Turbo and Smart 4 Power.
Both handsets are Vodafone-branded, run on Android KitKat and enter the busy mobile market at the lower end of the spectrum, providing customers with 4G mobile broadband at an affordable price point.
Obviously the 4G-ready tech inside each phone is the most impressive feature of each device, but the Smart 4 Turbo also boasts a 4.5″ display with a 221 PPI resolution, a 1.2GHz Quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and a 5 MP rear camera. The Smart 4 Power is one step up from the Turbo, with a 5-inch qHD display and a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, which Vodafone assures us has been specially tuned to allow an even faster 4G connection. It’s also got a 5 MP rear camera, but it’s packing a more powerful battery.
The Smart 4 turbo is available right now for for £135 on Vodafone Pay as you go or free on a £31.50 Vodafone Red 4G plan, and the Smart 4 power is apparently ‘coming soon’ and will obviously have a slightly higher price point than the Turbo when it finally lands in stores.
