Apple may be announcing the new iPad on October 16th
Rumours about the reveal of the new iPad, plus more, being announced sometime this month have been circulating for a while, but we never knew roughly when that would be. According to Re/code, the tech giant is going to unveil the updated tablet on October 16th.
The rumour mill has been heavily speculating about what might be announced, and while the consensus is that we’ll see an updated version of the iPad Air we might also see the 13-inch iPad Pro, updated Macs, and the public release of OS X Yosemite. Some think the updated iPad Mini will be on show, but other rumours speculate that it has been delayed until early next year.
The new iPad Air is rumoured to be coming with an A8 processor, like the iPhone 6, 2GB of RAM, and a TouchID fingerprint scanner for authorising payments in some shape or form.
Of course nothing here is actually confirmed, and Apple has yet to send out invitations for the event. But that being said, the 16th is only ten days away, so we don’t have a very long time to wait and see what happens.
