Hackers leak up to 200,000 personal Snapchat photos
Up to 200,000 explicit photos have been published online by hackers of the popular photo-sending app Snapchat.
As reported by the Guardian, the hackers used a third-party app to get into Snapchat’s system, tempting users to sign up for ‘snapsaved.com’, which would allow them to use a website version of the app on a computer or laptop in addition to the mobile phone version.
Users’ login data was then stolen and used to store personal photos that they sent, including nude selfies. These photos have since been circulated online.
It is suspected that these are the very same hackers who recently leaked a string of nude photos of hundreds of high-profile celebrities, including Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton.
