The new Ford Mondeo will arrive by the end of the year
Ford has announced the all-new Mondeo will be arriving in showrooms by the end of the year, and, as well as having a very eco-friendly engine, will be packed with tech.
The new Mondeo looks almost the same as the current model, but it’s four centimetres lower, meaning it has a much sleeker profile. It’s still just as big and roomy though, and also has a 1.5-litre Ecoboost petrol engine.
The Mondeo will also feature a host of accessories and technology, including SYNC 2, the second edition of Ford’s Microsoft-developed in-car infotainment system, which streams music to the car’s speakers from your phone and also incorporates Bluetooth and Internet access. The MyFord Touch system will be available too, offering voice control for all major systems.
On top of in-car entertainment, the car will also have driver-assisting tech for ultimate safety, including automatic lane-keeping, fatigue detection, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning and active park assist.
The new Mondeo will start at the affordable price of £20,750, but if you’re still not sure whether it’s right for you, come back on Monday to check out what I thought of it when I got the chance to test drive it in Malaga.
