Watch this haunting drone footage of Chernobyl ruins
Just when we thought drone videos were getting a bit dull, along comes this haunting compilation of footage taken during a flyover of Pripyat, Chernobyl, which proves that the best way to get a true feel of such a remote location is always by drone.
Filmaker Danny Cooke visited Chernobyl, the infamous site of a nuclear disaster back in 1986, while working for CBS News earlier in the year. The result is an eerily beautiful mixture of sweeping views of Pripyat’s post-apocalyptic ruins, coupled with close-up shots of abandoned classrooms, homes and funfairs.
