Is Apple bringing back the 4-inch iPhone?

Phones have been getting larger for some time now, and even Apple is taking advantage of their popularity with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. But if a new report is to be believed, it might not be done with the smaller phones just yet.

A report from G for Games claims that there are rumblings from within Apple’s supply chain which suggest that there will be follow-ups to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus along with a smaller 4-inch iPhone for people who prefer smaller screen.

Previous rumours have suggested that the new flagships will include larger batteries and better cameras, but we don’t know anything about the smaller device — if it even exists. It could be a budget model in a similar style to the iPhone 5C, or it could be that we’ll see more flagship-level hardware. Either is possible.

We’ll keep things updated as we know more, but for now just remember that the rumours floating around the internet of a spring released are almost guaranteed to be nonsense. Chances are we’ve got to wait until next September before we even hear a single thing from Apple itself.
