CES 2015: These Phaz headphones charge your phone while you listen
Audio newcomer Phaz is hoping to make waves at CES 2015> this year with its P2 headphones.
These chunky, over-the-ear phones are juiced up by a built-in 1200 mAh battery. The interesting bit is that the battery will also charge up your mobile phone via USB while you listen to your favourite tunes on-the-go. If you often listen to music while you’re out and about you’ll know how useful this kind of feature could be, meaning you don’t have to compromise on battery power to squeeze in some lively tunes on the way to work.
But it’s not as if they’re an average pair of headphones with a cool mobile-charging feature bolted on, they’re a high-end option for dedicated audiophiles and come with an HD audio amplifier to ramp up sound output and another button for a 15dB bass boost – even though you don’t actually have to use either to listen to regular music or something more quiet and melodic!
The cups are made from leather, so even though they’re quite big they’re soft and comfortable. The headset itself is made of carbon fibre with stainless steel fixtures, which means they’re really lightweight for such a decent pair of headphones.
We’ve got no official word on price or availability quite yet, but we’ll keep you posted. Hopefully our team over in Las Vegas will be able to get some hands-on time with the headphones to see if they’re all they’re cracked up to be!
