The Kodak IM5 is available to pre-order, arriving in late March/early April
The Kodak IM5 smartphone was originally announced at CES last month, and if you liked what you saw you should be happy to hear that the phone is already available for pre-order — ready for a release sometime towards the end of March or start of April.
PhoneArena spotted that the phone is already up for sale on the website of retailer Clove, with the listing including a price of £190 and a note mentioning that the phone’s UK launch is expected to be in late March or early April.
Kodak originally announced that the phone would cost €229, or £164, and it’s obvious that the price on Clove’s listing is slightly more than that. It could be that Clove doesn’t know the price yet and £190 is an estimate, but we also have to consider the fact that conversions are never exact and you have to factor in localised variables like taxes.
Just to recap, the Kotak IM5 will come with a 5-inch 720p display, a 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, 8GB of storage, and microSD expansion (up to 32GB). The phones on display as CESwere running Android KitKat, but Kodak promised that the phone would be running Lollipop at release.
You can pre-order the Kodak IM5 from Clove’s website, and if you want to know more you can watch out impressions from the CES show floor in the video below.
