HTC One M9 unveiled at #MWC15 – the most stylish Android phone so far?
At MWC 15, HTC’s CEO Peter Chou unveiled a phone whose arrival will come as no surprise to anyone in the industry. The new HTC One M9 is the company’s flagship handset and the successor to the well received M8. Pictures of the phone have appeared all over the web in recent days so all that was really left for Chou was to fill in the gaps and nail the specs.
First up, Chou was adamant that this was HTC’s most premium mobile so far. He confirmed that the phone is made almost entirely out of metal, which he claims is a new industry standard for luxury. Chou also says that the silver and gold finish has never been seen in the market before. It will be available in silver, grey, pink and gold. The screen is manufactured from scratch-resistant sapphire glass.
As for the headline specs the phone will feature a SnapDragon 810 processor and HTC Sense 7. It also features BoomSound speakers- the front-facing speakers which now deliver 5.1 surround sound. There’s 32GB of onboard storage (expandable via microSD) and 3GB of RAM. The screen size remains at five inches and is HD rather than 2K.
