Hands on with the LG G Flex 2: make a fist to take a selfie #MWC15
We tried out the upcoming LG G Flex 2 at Mobile World Congress, including a demo of the ‘Gesture Selfie’ feature that lets you take a photo by making a fist. Here’s our hands-on video:
LG G Flex 2 UK price and availability
It looks like the G Flex 2 will be out in the UK this summer, with a flagship price around the £500-£600 mark. That’s about right for an innovative handset with an octa-core 64 bit processor, 5.5 inch full HD curved polymer (ie plastic) OLED screen, 3,000mAh battery, 2GB of DDR4 RAM, 16GB of storage and a 13MP main camera with 2MP front-facing. The LG G Flex 2 runs Android Lollipop, which should make for excellent battery life in combination with its CPU (Lollipop is designed for 64-bit processors).
The gesture selfie feature is fun and useful, the back-mounted buttons are surprisingly intuitive and the self-healing back is a welcome touch. We’re not totally sold on the necessity for curved screens, but let’s be honest, it looks great! And anything that distinguishes a flagship Android from iPhones and Samsungs is a good thing in our book.
Update: The LG G Flex 2 is now available in the UK for £499 SIM-free.
