Gadget Show Live 2015: iFit announces new transformer watches, unveils Altra smart runnning shoe
Not surprisingly wearables were everywhere at this year’s Gadget Show Live 2015. One wearables company which looked particularly interesting is US company iFit which took the opportunity to announce seven new wearables in the UK for 2015, including activity trackers with heart rate monitoring, lifestyle watches to be worn from the office to the gym, and GPS watches.
Particularly interesting are the new ‘two-faced’ smart watches, called iFit Duo, which can be worn for fitness tracking during the day, and transformed into ordinary looking analogue watches for, say, going out on an evening. Expected to retail for £200, they will be available in summer 2015.
At the show, iFit also unveiled its new Altra running shoes complete with sensors for helping you run more efficiently, decrease chance of injury, and improve form. Connected through Bluetooth, sensors will display foot strike and cadence in real-time.
