New beauty products for Summer 2015 from Too Faced
The Too Faced Summer releases are a mix of functional and fun, with a little bit of novelty thrown in for good measure. The focus is mostly on palettes, with some additional shades of their Melted lipsticks being added with a metallic twist; not sure I can pull off a metallic lip without looking like a reject from the late 70s, but I’ve seen a few people doing a good job at making them look current, so clearly it’s all about how you wear it. They’re £19 a pop.
There are two eye palettes available, one for the nude lovers and one for the bright fans. I personally think they’re both gorgeous, although if I had to favour one, I’d go for the neutral shades in the beautiful Natural Matte palette, as I love neutrals and I love mattes, so this palette is a winner for me.
However, the Sugar Pop palette is a delightful collection of fun, Summery brights housed in a house decorated with macaroons. The thing I love about these Too Faced nine pan palettes is that they usually come with instructions on how to create various looks from the shadows housed within. Both palettes are £32.
The Selfie Powder palette has already caused a bit of a storm due to it’s novelty and modern relevance; it’s a trio of finishing powders that act in a similar way to Instagram filters to, in theory, give you the same filtered effect. Whilst I don’t think you’ll be getting your very own Instagram filter finish, I’m a big fan of coloured finishing powders as they’re very handy for reducing redness or discolouration and giving skin an overall brightening effect. The Selfie Powder trio is £26.
The Little Black Book of Bronzers is by far my favourite of the new arrivals, since it’s such a great and handy little product. Too Faced do some seriously amazing bronzers and just looking at the bronzer wardrobe makes me happy – you get eight mini bronzers housed within book style packaging for £35.
The full collection is available now at Debenhams or via the Too Faced site. The Too Faced site is in America (although handily the prices are in pounds) so you’ll be importing the products, however, they are launching their UK site soon.
