Ted Baker & Quella launch beautiful racer bikes
Bike envy has been taken to a new level, with the launch of made-to-order model by Ted Baker and small artisan bicycle firm Quella.
The two British companies have teamed up to create the Italian-inspired racer, which is available in “Redfinn, Bluetail or Greengill”. The stylishly retro bicycles feature a unique copper-plated design over a fine steel frame, as well as leather-taped traditional curved drop bars.
In keeping with their top-of-the-range aesthetic, they’ve also been equipped with exceptional racing components by Campagnolo and Dia Compe.
Described as “a thoroughly modern take on an Italian classic”, each bike is individually hand-crafted by Quella – which, rather charmingly, operates out of a former chicken shed in the Cambridgeshire countryside. Aptly, Cambridge has high numbers of cyclists compared with the rest of the UK.
Ted Baker is well-known for its aesthetic collaborations, and we keep a close eye out for them here at Shiny Shiny. The company’s name has been associated with beautiful phone cases and audio products, amongst other things, in the past 18 months.
The Ted Baker-Quella bicycles are available to buy now for £1,995 from the new Ted Baker & Moore store on Commercial Street, London, or on Quella’s website.
