Bialetti Moka
Image 7 of 10
Not technically new, but a design classic that’s becoming increasingly popular in the UK. Bialetti invented moka pots (also known as stove top pots) back in the 1930s and they’re the coffee-making method of choice for many European and Latin American caffeine lovers. You just add coffee and water and put the pot on the hob and as pressurised steam passes through the ground coffee, it heats it up for a flavour that’s somewhere between filter coffee and a machine-made espresso. It might not be high-tech but it’s cheap and easy to use, as long as you don’t try to heat it up too quickly.
The 6-cup model is £22.13 from Amazon.
